Steven graduated from Melbourne University in 2009, having also completed a research degree on wild southern hairy nosed wombats in South Australia while he was a vet student. After graduation, he spent a few years working in Adelaide at a greyhound and small animal reproduction clinic and also volunteered at the Adelaide Zoo before spending a couple of years as a small animal veterinary locum, both in Melbourne and the UK.
He first joined the team at Bundoora as a locum for a couple of summers before deciding it was a great place to settle in, taking a full time position with us in May, 2014. As well as his interest in small animal medicine, he has a passion for reproductive medicine, wildlife care and pathology (in particular, making a diagnosis by looking down the microscope). In his downtime, Steven enjoys seeing live music, travelling, camping and tinkering with technology.
